Decatur County is hiring for a part-time Veterans Service Officer for Decatur County Veteran's Affairs, responsible for providing assistance to eligible veterans and their dependents regarding any and all benefit entitlements from county, state, and federal agencies as set forth by law.
Assist veterans with application forms, research applicable laws, eligibility requirements and claim status.  Maintain files of claimants, prepares monthly reports for county officials and State veteran's administration.

Job requirements are experience as a veteran in at least six months of service in the Armed Service with an honorable discharge.  Must be a citizen of the State of Indiana and a resident of Indiana for five years prior to appointment.
