A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, completely covering the Sun and causing the sky to darken in the middle of the day. The path of the eclipse will cut through the United States from Texas to Maine, with Decatur County, Indiana, within the path of totality. This spectacular event will happen on Monday, April 8th, and is expected to draw a significant influx of spectators from across the United States, and even from other countries, to communities in the path of totality, such as Greensburg / Decatur County, Indiana, all eager to view the total solar eclipse.
